The AARP really does its homework also. They factor in the foundation of your financial need. - Mustn't be attending high school now
- Must study full-time
2. Working Parent College Scholarship Award
Description: Are you a working parent currently in school or other accredited post-secondary educational institution? Job-Applications. Com offers scholarships for women over 40, awarded once annually, designed to help working parents currently enrolled in higher education.
Amount awarded: $1,000
Qualification requirements: The Working Parent College Scholarship Award Program is open to any individual who:
Is a full-time or full student attending a licensed U.S. post-secondary educational institution (such as, but not restricted to, faculty, university or trade school, or similarly accredited program) using a current cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher at the institution; and
Has worked a mean of 12 or more hours for each of the previous four weeks at the time of applying; and
Is a home parent of at least one minor child; and
Is a legal resident of the United States of America; and
is presently registered and furthering his or her education at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution or program; and
Is 18 years old or older at the time of applying; and
Completes and submits the official application form inside the relevant periods for the periodic scholarships for women over 40 to be granted.
3. Jeannette Rankin Scholarship
Amount awarded: $2,000
Qualification requirements: An applicant for a JRF Scholarship must be:
Pursuing a technical or vocational education, an associate degree, or a first bachelor's degree.
Enrolled in or accepted to a not-for-profit, regionally accredited institution.
